mule ear locks

hello Iam looking for some information on a mule ear lock kit I just got. There are no assembly instructions. I don't know if there are any parts missing or not. This was bought from agentleman at friendship . I believe he was from ohio as Ihave been told. This kit has no coil spring but aleaf spring. Any help would be welcomed skunkhead

Take a picture of your parts. Maybe we can help if we know what lock we are trying to help with. I've seen several styles of side slappers.

I am not very good at posting pictures. when it comes to this i am much better with a chisel and a hammer. I will keep trying.
