Museum or shop to visit in Phonix Az.ion

Guys,
I'm going to visit the Phoenix Az area for the VHPA reunion in July. I'm hoping it really is a 'dry heat'.
Do you have a recommendation for a museum or ML shop in the area that you think I should visit?

July can get kinda sticky by our standards but you might not think much of it. As far as muzzleloading shops there is a big zip that I'm aware of. Cabelas or Sportsmans Wharehouse are about the only options (if you haven't been to a Cabelas definatley check it out).
For museums there is the Heard Museum downtown that has a lot of exhibits on the local Native Americans and culture. There is also some kind of pueblo museum by the airport but I've never been there to comment.

About the only store that has any traditional BP muzzleloaders is a place called Legendary Guns located on 19th Ave. and all of their guns are the typical modern production guns. Nothing noteworthy.
Beyond that there isn't much available here.

As Desert Rat mentioned, the museums around here seem to focus on Indian Culture in the area.

I'll look into the museums. I'll likely visit Cabelas too just to see the show.
My wife and I stopped at Cabelas in Mitchell SD a few years ago, we stopped in the morning thinking we'd be there for an hour. We came out four hours later.

I can't think why the group would have the reunion in Phoenix in July but I'm going since I can visit my dad too.

Shoot safely you don't want to fly in an EMS helicopter.

You might try Out of Africa in Scottsdale, to get up close and personal with African fauna. Ditto with the Desert Museum in Tucson for local wildlife. Old Tucson, near the Desert Museum is fun, in a tacky sort of way.
