I don't know of any "pistol kits" in .40 caliber.

You can always make up your own kit by buying the individual parts like the ones suggested and sold by Muzzleloader Builders Supply.

Here's a link to their Kentucky pistol parts

Remember, these are rough finished parts and they will require some work.
They are also made to be used in a number of different guns so the mounting holes don't exist.

In other words, they are not a semi-drop together "kit".

If he's looking for a pistol kit, perhaps Chambers is worth a spin ... I've used his locks on two builds and they're first rate.

What style of rifle are you interested in? I ask because some suppliers have a few styles and others seem to have a couple dozen.

The kit from Jim Kibler is as good as it gets. Everything is cut properly and everything fits as it should. When finished it makes an authentic Southern Mountain Rifle.

I don't know why I got to thinking the OP was asking about a pistol kit.

Maybe it was because I saw the .40 caliber and my mind jumped the track and started thinking about the .40 cal pistol I built?

Hi Zonie,
That's OK my friend. I am finding I do similar things more often now. First the knees, then the eyes, then the back, then the brain.
