I am glad to hear that you are enjoying MUZZLELOADER, thank you!

You should absolutely come check out Friendship. It's not what it was, and it probably won't ever be again but it is totally worth a visit. If you want to come for the day, you don't have to be an NMLRA member. I don't know if you have to be a member to camp and/or shoot. I don't know where you live in Kentucky but Friendship should be a pretty easy weekend trip for you. June is much bigger and better attended than September and you absolutely want to come the first weekend. It can be a ghost town after the first Sunday regardless of if you come in June or September.

In my opinion, there are 3 road trips that anyone interested in muzzleloading should go on, a trip to Friendship, a trip to Dixie Gun Works, and a trip to Log Cabin Shop. They have all been a major part of the muzzleloading sport for decades and it's cool to see them. If you're into Living History I would suggest a trip to the Kalamazoo Living History Show, and the Fort Frederick Market Fair.
I always enjoyed a walkabout at Maskers as well.

Jason , I am up in Allen County, Scottsville area, not too far from you I believe if you are around Gallatin.
Yes I am in Gallatin, we have quite a group of muzzleloader shooters here in the area and an original 18th century fort site to play on (Bledsoe's Fort Park). Scottsville isn't too far away. It takes me about 5 hours to get to Friendship (and I go through Scottsville).
