Hey ya'll just went and shot sporting clays at cokeley farms! About a half hour nw of Topeka ks. Will cokeley is the owner He was super excited to to hear I wanted to bring my muzzleloaders. Almost every other clay range in or around kc will not let you shoot muzzleloaders. He's a real laid back guy and he won't care how much shot you load just what size. He lives on the property and has all kinds of regulars coming and going. Youll be more than welcome to stay and hangout after hours. If you want to shoot clays and live close enough to Topeka this is the place!
17 stations
15 with 4 birds
2 with 6

$30 for 50 birds
$40 for 100 birds (on Fri and sun)
$34 and $46 on wed thurs and sat
mon and tues appt only
Shooting hours 9-4

I used a cheap husky tool belt/pouch to hold my powder flask shot pouch and a powder horn I have filled with corn meal.
The way I loaded was
75grns powder
Equal volume of corn meal as the wadding
Then 1 1/8 Oz of shot.
Then push a overshot card on top.
Little pocket on the front of the bag will hold hundreds of overshot cards.
I've got a ted cash capper to handle the priming.
I used my possibles bag to hold extra powder, shot, corn meal, caps, and cleaning patches with a few jags. Takes less than a minute and a half to casually load and prime both barrels.

I shot my sxs and o/u, and for a few of the stations the birds fly high enough I only put a card in the left and top barrel (rear trigger/second shot) just kept the muzzle up and saved a few seconds of time loading

I shoot skeet with my originals, how I manage the reloading is on stations with 4 shots I shot first the two singles. Reload while the other 4 shooters shoot, then shoot my double. The only hold up is when another member of the squad wants to give it a try. I shoot with friends at our club range and it's all fun. When we shoot a match I shoot a modern gun so not hold things up.
