My muzzleloader has a few rust spots on it and tends to develop them quite easily. I have heard that turtle wax is the best thing out there to keep a gun protected from water. is this true? do you have any suggestions on how to keep the gun from rusting so easily? It develops rust just sitting in my house!

It's called oil :rotf: I also use Stealth (now known as Barricade) as well.

I used to use oil , now I use wax . I use Butcher's Boston Polish but Turtle wax should work fine too .

It will work on the outside metal, but not in the bore. The bore needs to be cleaned after you are finished shooting for the day. You can't let them go like center fire guns and not get rust.
