Huntschool,

I imagine our trails crossed a time or two while at a TAB rendezvous. I was a member for quite a while. On and off from the late 70’s til about 2005 or so. Was just at their last Deep Winter event end of January over at Normangee E

May have... We were down there several years running. Ole Mole Eye, Tangelfoot Berry (a member on this board) and John Moody were close friends. Then there was Two Bears, Max Zanger and Lonnie and her husband, whose name I can not remember but I do remember her late afternoon "tea time" and her fajitas...…

Those were good times. Even the one at Hearn back then when the Blue Norther came in... man it got wet and cold.

Yup. I was there at that one. And I know ( or knew, Mole Eye is gone) them all! Lonnie is the Husband there at Hearne. Billie is the wife. Lonnie was one of my gunsmithing mentors! We both worked at the same shop from time to time. That has been years ago!

Well, shows what age can do to ya. Really sorry to get those names screwed up.... Marilyn and I owned Terripen Ridge Lean to and Tipi company. We made tipis and she designed the "Lean Pi". Sold a bunch of tents down there.

Hi I’m Michael and I just joined to try and hook up with some local folks near Austin or Round Top, Texas. I just picked up a muzzle loader from a friend and wanted to learn how to shoot this thing. Hope to meet some locals

I wish their were a few or good organized clubs. But alas the only organized club closest to us is White Smoke Brigade. About 45 min to an hour drive depending on where you live in this area. The best we seem to be able to do is get the word out to locals and hope they show up to shoot. Grizz has been trying diligently to bring us together but its sorta like herding cats.
Or mopping the ocean

Nothing in the Austin area.

There are 5 places listed in Muzzle Blasts, closest to you would be San Antonio.

Three shoots a year in Brady, but it is very cliquey.
