Great Stand!
How do you keep others from knocking it down? Is it on private land? I built 2 like it on public watershed land several years back, one for a morning stand and one for the afternoon. I chose the pattern because it does not need to be nailed into the tree and does the tree no harm. Never got to use the first one, it was wrecked on opening day. The other one I sat in for 2 days and it was down on the 3rd day.

Yes it is private ground. We own it and Im there alot. We dont hassle the kid on 4 wheelers but they know come hunting season it is our time an they respect it. Been down that road with stands it can get you p---. They are fairly heavy so you are going to work for it.

Yeah - Nice stand. It looks a lot like the ones I make, except yours appears to have a swivel seat. Mine have a fixed seat, and I have to swivel "my seat". Yes, they are heavy, but I am waiting until spring to see if a determined "hunting slob" will take mine down (or destroy it). It's chained at the top and padlocked, but the guys who were trespassing may not let that stop them.
:imo:

Just a 1 in pipe with 2 pipe flanges a little grease on the top flange and you have a swivel seat Put a sign on your stand. (you may steal the stand, but beware of the boobie traps).

I built one for my father from a child's back yard wolmanized wood platform. It's about 10 feet in the air and completely enclosed.

It's complete with camo, 360deg rotating/adjustable captains chair, coffe drink holders, propane heater with tank and even a patio for guests.

On my property I have built a number of different stands. This is one of my favorite. I even put railing on it and a nice bench seat, then put a cloth camo blind up on the platform with a roof.

It over looks a crossing in the cedars where the deer and bear have to cross a small creek. Once they cross they are under 40 yards away. The rest is easy.

Besides the stands in the trees I have a number of ground blinds for those that do not like to go UP in the air. Even though most of them are not over 10 feet, a friend of mine is so height sensative I swear, he would not stand on a chair.... He likes the small cabin type blinds I have.

Ya ought'a see my "tree stand",.... it has a huge "basement" with trees and deer in it!! :haha:
