Sorry Rebel, it is identical to the CVA I had seen at a shop but this isnt marked CVA my guess Dixie may have sold these yrs ago I think there is a date of 1985 on the bottom of the barrel . Both barrels are open choked I had to fiddle with the locks a bit smooth and trim some stuff seem to work good now. Stock finished w/nut brown stain and tung oil. I made the ramrod pipe's and browned the barrels with LMF browning sol left a light ring around breech must have been some oil trapped in there .

Looks good. When you going to try it out? I am thinking of using the LMF on a barrel. What do you think of it? Was it pretty easy to use?

I will say, it does have some pretty nice wood in it! Very nice looking gun. You WILL enjoy it, I have a ball with my shotguns. :)

I took it rabbit hunting in the late season (Jan) snow on the ground ya know it was nice 2 shots 2 rabbits couldn't complain about that. I like the LMF browning and have used on 3 guns now all with good results . The wood is nice it almost looks like walnut but I belive the Itailans or Spaniards used teak it is pretty wood

I sure like my Navy Arms double barrel .12 with the cylinder bore barrels. Have you tried yours with balls yet? Mine does real well with .690 rd balls, at least at 25 yds. I haven't had a chance to try it any further yet. At 25 yds it will put 2 shots from each barrel into one large hole. Hopefully it won't be too big a spread at 50-70 yds. If it does good out to that range, i figure it will make a good deer and elk gun around here in the thick stuff.

Rebel I have some 690's but havn't tried em yet, yea if it shoots good out to 50-70 yrds would make a awsome deer and elk gun thats for sure them 690's are a real hunk of lead how many grains of pwdr? What pwdr are you shotting 2f or 3f

I use 90 grs of Pyrodex RS. Then i use a thick overpowder wad with a fiber cushion wad glued to it then lubed. Then the patched rd. ball. Plan to try the same combo, except with 2f Goex powder, in my new Brown Bess carbine and see how it works.
