What a beautiful rifle, I’ve got a 45 and a 50 mountain rifle. I love these guns, this caliber is definitely on my list, looking forward to your range report!

Hmm the .562 seems plenty accurate at 25 yards with Walmart blue pillow ticking and 85 grains by volume of my homemade black powder. Three shots close together happy so far with the results.
yowsa! i have a nickle a dime and some folding money i will give ya for that one!
a fine, fine rifle and fine shooting.
i have one in fifty, another in 54, now just need a big bore!

My CVA Mountain likes the .562 ball and especially when I use wheel weight lead to cast balls. Also have the .570 but the gun seems to like them less.

WOW !...………… that stock certainly doesn't scream CVA - didja refinish it, or is it a replacement ?

The original owner refinished the stock to look like maple it looks very good. I did a little work on the trigger it needed to be raised so the lock functions correctly and a new set screw for the set trigger now it's all good.
