I ordered a York Kit from Jim Chambers early last year, kind of a 50th birthday present to myself  I did the $150.00 upgraded on the wood (it could have been a little better) there are some dead spots of curl in the buttstock, but it still is real nice. Long story short, it was way to nice for this Hacker to molest, so the kind folks at TVM,(Tennessee Valley Muzzleloading)
agreed to put the kit together for me with some added touchs. The TVM Team did a very good job, truthfuly they did better then I had anticipated.

I know the pictures do not do the build justice, the Chambers rifles are a pure joy to shoulder, and givin the pleasure of it's beauty it is one fine rocklock. My Hat is off to the Team at TVM :hatsoff:

 As far as birthday presents go .............you can't get much better than that
Great looking rifle, and it's an added touch to see the personlized engraving ; Hope you get to enjoy it for another 50 years

Hey, if I bought a birthday present as nice as that for myself, my wife would probably make me a Joe Horn-type victim. Whewee!!!
:rotf: :rotf: :haha: :haha:

Was this a researched build? I can't find many original York photos before the percussion era with set triggers. Most seem to have that silly pigtail single lever job. :hmm:

I like the engraving, especially the side plate.

I'm a set trigger kind of guy, I do have a one of the other triggers on a Lancaster. The truth be told, If a set trigger is set up right I very seldom use the set function.
