Good on Paul I used to keep a battery in the US .. a Musket, rifle ,long snaphance & couple of Scots pistols never re enacted with the S' hance , King Phillips war might have been . I was based in Massachusetts. But we did F&I as a group . Re the man with just one gun he will know how to use it ! I don't know any myself.

So glad you noticed this one. It was built probably around 1720ish. It truly is left handed with a right hand lock, as it has the cheek piece on the lock side and a sliding patch box on the opposite side. It’s 20 bore and the rifling is as good as new. Has a makers mark, but I haven’t been able to put a name to it as yet.

I had the same question! One lefty in a nice collection of "properly fit" weapons. : )
I'll assume that reflects many, many years of research and collecting.

Well, I already asked about the doglock in the first pic. I took the Op's advise and contacted Loyalist Arms about the (3) Indian options. Those are all a month or more out. I have not made a decision, but; that photo did pique my interest. I do a lot more talking than buying. For those who missed that discussion: the OP's doglock is a custom build, while I asked about availability and options to me in USA.

Original 38cal percussion rifle. Barrel reused at least 3 times, by looking at barrel loops, cut back barrel an repositioned sights etc.

Pedersoli Brown Bess
Original 20bore Jaeger. Left handed, but lock on the right. About 1720

I thought that gun looked familiar and I realized that I have a picture of the lock side on my hard drive in a folder of original guns. Ha, no idea how long I've had the picture. I wonder if perhaps you had posted it at some point in the past. A gun builder friend of mine built a very similar jeager that was very possibly modeled after this gun. Thanks for sharing!
