When you first showed us the picture of that deer, I thought then that the picture should grace the front page of some outdoor magazine.

Way to go, RON.

Congratulations on the publicity, and on taking such a fine looking trophy. You know its got to irritate some of the Modern magnum rifle shooters, when they see such a beautiful trophy taken with a MLER! And a traditional Side lock gun too boot! What is this world coming to????

Attaboy! :hatsoff:

The gun was a TC Renegade with a Green Mountain barrel. It has a Lyman 57 SML peep and a Lyman 17 AML globe sight.
The bullet was one I make my self from a Lee C-501-440-RF. I paper patch this bullet and size them to fit the rifle. Ron

I went to the Vet a couple weeks ago to get a tooth pulled and while I was waiting I think I looked at that issue. I have to go back this week for a cleaning so I'll see if I can find it again and check it out. WTG buddy.

And that is one nice Buck! :hatsoff:

Hey Buddy
Your skill rising to the top, Ron. Looks like a GPR traditional flinter with a few extra sighting do dads on it. Looks like a .50 cal? Beauty. You build it?

I had to take a GPR .50 cal kit in a deal to finally get rid if my last T/C flinter. I'd be nice to know I could actaully make a nice back up gun of it.

That rifle is actually a TC Renegade Cap lock rifle. I have "assembled" several rifles. I pick up the parts from ebay and other places and piece them together. The sights are Lyman 57 SML peep and a Lyman 17 AML globe front sight. All the rifles and have “assembled” have been tack drivers. They work well on game too. Ron
