White Buffalo...
I think you did just fine! it looks good, you made it and it only needs to please YOU!

I commend you for taking the time to get pics and post them here, as a "tutorial" for others to follow.

Outstanding :hatsoff:

I agree with brett sr. Darn nice bag. Are you going to use jute or canvas for the strap?

White Buf, I really like it! :hatsoff:

I haven't done a lined bag yet but have been thinking about it. I think you just convinced me.

Did you glue the pillow ticking to the leather first? What are the bag dimensions?

very nice work. Thanks for showing the steps.

most likely i'm going to get a strap from wilde weavery....

goldhuter....yeah i glued it first with spray adhesive....the dimensions are 7" x 8" with the widest part on the bottom center of 2" wide....

how many gray bags has anyone seen....i bought a half a side of gray dyed leather at dixon's when i was at the fair two years ago fer 5.00 bucks....did i do good with the price fer materials fer less then a buck fer the bag so far...........bob

You did a great job on the bag! The grey leather would make it a great pouch for a stainless steel T/C Firestorm flintlock. :haha:

That bag came out great! Thanks for posting the pics. I'm always trying to get new ideas, as I'm beginning to gather materials to make my own bags and horns.

Well done Bob! I been wanting to make one ... now I have a resonable example to go by! :hatsoff: They are right ... this belongs in the Tuts section.

Looks great to me! Also appears your recovery
has gone well...

Great looking bag. Nice job. I like the idea of adding the lining. You gave me some good ideas for my next bag.

Great looking bag, I like ticking liners as well. I really like how your strap will be attached. Nice work!

yeah it's going slow not to sure i would call it well yet....still stagering when i walk but not as bad as before the surgery....can't pull my bow back yet so i went out saturday fer the opening of muzzleloading season here in pa....went out bout noon but was home by 4....my right eye wouldn't stop watering to see the sites when i kept checking to see how good my vision was in my right eye....i tried to site lefty to shoot lefty as i've done before but i can't close my right eye to see the sites with my left eye :shake: ....so headed home stagering out of the woods due to only haveing half my strengh yet....i'm working real hard to get back in shape fer the last two weeks of bow season the first two weeks of nov when the rut is on....but i'm hoping the late flintlock season the day after x-mass i'll be a little more ready :v .........bob

i've decided to make my own strap instead of a woven strap from wilde weavery out of leather....it will look sort of along the lines of strap from this bag i seen online....it's hunting pouch number one....i think it will look better then the woven strap and the bag will all be home made but the buckle...........bob
