My first bag

Just finished making my first bag from the "fowlers bag" pattern I saw on this site. I modified it by adding a gusset. I couldn't find "waxed Irish linen thread" so I used imitation sinew. I also could not find any one inch brass rings so I bought a length of 1/8 dia. brass rod and bent it around a one inch dowel, chiseled it off and soldered the ends. It works, but I'm not keen on the look of the solder.
I'll try to post pics but not sure if I have the puter abilities....................Daniel
