My first flintlock

I have finaly found the flintlock I want, it is a custom build by Mike Markey.

It is a Dickert based rifle with a swamped rice "C" weight barrel, Davis doubble triggers, and a Chambers lock, The stock is curly maple.

I shot the rifle at a woods walk and fell in love with it.

Now I just have to come up with the funds.

If it is the one on Track of the Wolf's site, or anything like that one, you made a fine choice.

Quality parts and hardware, well executed stock architecture and nicely embelished.

I have seen pictures of his work on the GON forum and they make my mouth water.

Just as nice, he built a new rifle for himself, it has a single trigger as opposed to the doubble trigger on the one I am getting. He offerend me the rifle at almost parts cost, I just have to wrangle the funds to cover it. I used the rifle on our recent shoot at The Blue Ridge Mountain Men woods walk.
