Hey all

I just got everything finished, and I have to say that it turned out much much better than what I thought I was capable of.
I think the fact that I actually shelled out a couple bucks to get some brass rivets and button stud made quite a difference.

I used a very heavy saddle type leather, about 1/8" thick (don't know what weight that is) Thick enough to resist the bad weather and trees, dirt, rocks etc I might encounter while carrying my pistol in the coast range.
While being very influenced by civil war style flap holsters, it isn't a direct copy of any of them....just close enough to look like it belongs with the revolver.
Thanks again to all of you forum members who gave me advice.

Take care

Iain

Over the years, I have made several holsters and I think you did a great job. Looks very good. It will make you feel good to wear it and get praise from others who admire it. Plus it's fun to make the things you need or want. :hatsoff:

VERY NICE!

I really enjoy working with leather too, so what is your next project?
