Not MADE by Perrins, of course ... they are Birmingham Trade products of the "overcoat pistol" pattern. Most provincial firearms "sellers" dealt in a wide range of items -- some were ironmongers,--- very few were actual gunsmiths, they had the pistols cased up for them. Still a good set, which needs the flask replacing -- - probably with a Dixon or Hawkesley "small bag" type.

Is it out of line to ask what a set like this might be worth? As much as I would love to own something like this, I fear that my looming retirement would have to be put off for a few years just to get in the auction house.

Prices actually aren't bad on some of the individual guns, but the sets are $$$$$. Of course getting a less expensive gun here from Europe probably isn't cheap either.
