Deer hide bag.
Beaver hide flap.
Turkey feathers for decoration.
Hogs tooth for the closure.
All stuff from around the swamps down here.

Still needs a good strap.

Nice looking bag, is the Beaver pelt tanned, tawed, or dried? long strips of tanned Beaver hide 2" wide make good straps if you have enough.

Thanks.

The beaver hide was tanned and I sewed part of it to the bag flap. I don't think I have enough hide left to make straps. It was a young beaver and my first attempt at tanning. I got the hide scrapped pretty thin in the middle of the hide, but the shoulders forward and the rear third came out pretty nice.

Still haven't dealt with the tail. It's in my freezer waiting to be turned into leather for a handle wrap on the next bow I build.

That is a great looking bag. Tanning your own skins taking a boars tooth, probably from one you put in the freezer. Man, you are living the good life
