nice stuff indeed :v
what`s the differen between the Deercreek and a Mountain Rifle. It looks very similar exept the larger trigger guard and the Patch box at a .54 Cal Bore.
The 58 was a rare find. I was a little hesitant to buy it at first because of the 15/16 barrel but, I'm glad I did. Its a sweet shooter with 75 grs FF goex.

Klaus
From what I have read and I also called Deer Creek. I spoke with them about this rifle. The Deer Creek has a Douglas barrel 1/66 twist. Nothing but a 54 Cal. stamped on it. Hard maple stock as he said. The locks are rounded at rear, instead of pointed. ( because there are CVA lock and trigger) I had to buy parts and everything is the same as CVA. This rifle was a kit. The patch box is German silver and has a pewter nose cap. The trigger guard is there own deal as far as I know. Its a great shooter. I haven't really work up a load yet. Just with the loads I have been playing with and groups I have got. Its just going to shoot great I know it. Hope this helps.
Hawksaw, thx a lot for full explantion, just now it`s clearly to me what`s different and you could feel happy to have got this Douglas Barrel on the Rifle.
Wish you some fun and success to work up a real good load for this rifle
