Very Very nice! How do you find these relic's? Are some dug up? Firearms from that era were very ornate, beautiful. ,,,DT

Must say that butt plate with the huntsman and hounds is my favorite. I would have to build a gun around it. Good thing I don't own it. Very nice collection love seeing it and the different side from what we typically have here.

Yes, almost everything is digged. We have many diggers, I don't do it myself. Some parts are very unique are rare, I mostly deal with beautiful parts. I've been searching them everywhere in the Internet. In America I really like "Dragon style" in Sideplates, I hope to own a sideplate from traditional hunting rifle "Kentucky" in the shape of a dragon one day.

But I can't find it in. I also want to find sideplates of those models that I don't have.

Such plots on butt plates can be seen once or twice a year, they are very rare, in Europe I think they occur more often. Actually I work in 3D printing technologies. We do 3D scanning and 3D printing, anything from my collection can be scanned with 3D scanner and that thing could be printed out on your SLA printer in wax and could be sent to casting.

I won't say that you'll never find a Pennsylvania/"Kentucky " rifle with a dragon sideplate, but I've never seen one; it would be a rarity. They were far more common on smoothbore trade guns and fowling pieces. Once taken off the stock, it would be extremely unlikely for anyone to associate a dragon sideplate with a longrifle.

Great collection, by the way! I'm most impressed by the displays of disassembled muskets so that the public can see both the assembled piece and its component parts.

Ausgezeichnet!
