Deer rifle season opened at noon yesterday. I sat out in the pasture to see what was moving. The wife and I were going to hunt together this weekend. I had a little scrub come up to me about 40yds. That didn't work out for me. As it was standing in the sweet clover, I noticed he started heading east through the clover. About a minute later I found out why. This guy came in from the south west on a mission. He came through the clover and was going past me heading to the north. I had to yell at him to get him to stop. At about 50yds I put a 58 round ball through the center of both lungs. He ran about 125yds and laid down for his last nap. Thank the Lord and Bobby Hoyt, I got the job done early!
