Can you tell us more about the construction of the head and handle? Is the grip area a seperate section as it looks bigger than the shaft. Is the head installed from the top down or from the bottom up and what are the cross windings on the head for - looks or fuction?

I drifted the head to use a standard size tomahawk handle. The wrapping on the head is just for looks the head is held on just like a normal tomahawk. The grip area of the handle has a piece of leather wrapped around it then is whipped with some hemp cord to give it a slightly larger grip diameter. I think it feels better in the hand.
