A very good friend and outstanding up and coming gun maker made this rifle, it's a Buck's County style with left hand lock...he gave it to me for my birthday.

.62cal rifle, 42" swamped rice barrel, beautiful wood, carving and engraving. I got a chance to shoot it this weekend and she's zeroed in with 110gr. 2FF behind a .600 prb

Looks like beaut. Quite the friend. The sarcastic side of me expected to see a stripped down 'birthday suit' gun based on the title of the post...:.. And the lock is on the 'right' (aka the correct side) side because it works for you. Congrats on birthday 82. You got 20 on me.

110 grains of powder is a hell of a charge though.

I have a .62 Jager that I've had for 40 years and 110gr's has always been my hunting load with that rifle.

Ron,
That good friend bit is a two-way trail which is, I'm sure, why you got that beautiful rifle. And 110 grains of 2F is a reasonable load, especially given the hunting that you do.

At 82, you are a lifetime ahead of me in muzzleloading experience. And a great inspiration. I will never catch up...but I can make better use of the time that is left to me. Thank you. :hatsoff:
