Created by a long time friend of mine, Jim Finley is a small stout man now in his eighty's who has been building muzzleloaders from scratch for many years. He was the protégé of the late Don Brown of Yakima who's muzzleloaders have been featured in articles and on the cover of magazines. Jim lost his wife to cancer last year and is himself being treated for degenerative nerve and muscle problems so when he called and asked if I would try to sell the last of his rifles for him I agreed. After visiting with him and looking over his final creations I asked how much for both. His reply was “for you, I’ll take...” and he made me a generous deal. He said he has over 400 hours in this .50cal beauty.

The other rifle - a full stock Hawken flinter is not completed so I will post those pics when it is finished.

That smoke pole shines! From the sounds of it, a true labor of love, losing a wife and all.
