You are right. I do it in the same way. When I'm successful on the hunt I think i did anything right. As I have told you I was member of the armored infantry (similar to your guys with the Bradley). There we did many infantry education and training. My companie was responsible for sniper training of the battailon.

good deal U got, I have a SS ROA I like, sometimes I wish I had got the blued but SS is pretty also. Lee makes a conical slug mold for ROA and I've read that the 45 cal. REAL slug does well also. I took a good sized wild boar (300 lbs. or so) with mine using a slug. complete pass thru lung shot at 30 paces. It ran aways and piled into a thicket where I found it and shot it again in back of the head for insurance. load - 35 gr. 3F, disc punched from juice carton, greased Lee mold slug.

Hi Blizzard93,
I think I would prefer s/s. If you get a scratch, just rub it out with steel wool.
I was using 30 grain with wonder wad and round ball.
But when I looked in the owners manual, it said if the cylinder is over half full of powder, you dont need a wad. It also said you can put as much powder in the cylinder as it will hold and leave room for the ball. I put 40 grain of pyro 3f.
Wasnt very acurate and almost popped my ear drum.
Wont do that again.

I have a few friends that went to sniper school.
I didnt get to go.
Instead I got picked for Armorer school. Thats like a military gunsmith.
