Well, figured I'd share a few pics with you all.

I don't post a ton here but I lurk and read all the time. I have always had a huge love of black powder but even deeper than that is my love of all things Civil War. So, I figured I'd show you all how I combine the two!

Here's a few pics from a couple of weekends past. I am a private in the 49th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, Company F. My rifle is a Pedersoli Model 1861 Springfield .58. I've posted many pictures of all my stuff in the past and am not going to put them all up again right now but let's just say I have ALOT of CW stuff along with a bunch of cap and ball pistols as well as traditional flintlock and percussion rifles.

I am a lucky soldier I must say. Here's my beautiful 19th century lady who ran off from home to support her soldier boy as he goes to fight the Rebels and defend the Union! :) :blah:

She loves it all as much as me, camping, shooting, re-enacting and everything else we do together! Can't ask for more than that.

Here's a great photo shop job done by a member on an other board to make this picture look more historically accurate.

Trust me sir,,,You are so blessed..... If you
ever miss treat her you will have to answer to
every man on this forum...especially,,,,,us Rebs
and that!!!! Will lose the war for you blue etc.
etc We will fight harder for the fair ladies than
what ever you were after....Ha!

Don't worry!!

She's not mistreated in the least. I know how lucky I am. We do everything together and totally love each other. She's my best friend and I hers! I really am lucky and can't ask for more.

Where else am I gonna find such a beauty that loves all the same things as much as I do??!?!

She loves shooting live black powder too. Has her own '61 Navy and loves shooting the '62 Richmond Rifle. In the winter we even cast balls together. She does the .375 and .454s while I do .575 minies, Sharps .54 ringtails and the other various rifle round balls.

Here's proof, and out of 19th century garb too!

Thats what I would call "The Complete Package"!

I married into one of those also.
I would actually let go of a favorite gun before I'd let go of her.

Good on you!

Lucky you. :hatsoff:
Great pictures, thanks for sharing.
I lucked out too.
When I bought my wife her first centerfire, I asked if she wanted a nice new Remington.
Her reply was, Heck no, I'm German. I want a Mauser like yours. :shocked2:
