I'm an engineer not an artist so I had a very talented friend build my horn. I'm super pleased.

My persona has me at the turn of the century (1800) as a trapper and explorer in the West. The lack of infrastructure requires I have a bigger powder horn than I had on the Eastern frontier. Around two pounds suits me. And even though the golden age of flintlocks and powder horns has passed I want to maintain a little of that influence. And of course I want my name on the horn. Both names actually. The one my fellow mountain men gave me and the one the Indians gave me, for I'm known by both.

In California you are only allowed to own one-pound of black powder. My horn holds about two.
That really stinks!!! How do you go to a two or three day shoot and only have one pound? A shooter would have to leave and find a place to purchase more powder! Stupid California!! Beautiful state, just have people with their head in the sand who run it.

California is just one big bowl of granola. You take out the nuts and flakes and all that is left is the fruits.

It is the politics of prohibition by gradualism. The proverbial foot in the door.
You also have nut-jobs from around the world streaming into America
un-vetted. The freedom to buy black powder will be ended if the present
regime stays in power another 3 years. Having said that, powder can be
made from scratch. Wherever you look, our freedoms are being taken
away--even the freedom to keep injections out of our bodies.
