A pic (hopefully) of my 50 cal Italian Ranson, they tell me it's a Hawken style, 1 in 48 twist. My first BP. Looking forward to the first day out on the range, yet to fire it since I bought it. Fired it late last year at our club BP Sniper Championship (my first shot with BP), I came runner up in the shoot. The bloke who won owned the rifle. I'd like to think that with a bit of practice & fine tuning (and maybe a little advice from the forum) I could beat him this year.

Cheers, Smokey.

She is a beaut! What metal do you have in the nose cap? The lighting makes it look like German silver.

Thanks AZ,
now it's time to show I'm a real green horn,
what the heck's the nose cap?
I assume it's the brass forend of the stock that you're looking at, all stock fittings are brass. The lock, hammer, nipple & barrel.......and the timber.....obviously, are not brass.
