it couldn't have been a better day to be out in the woods....it snowed ever so ligthly that all day it only gained bout an inch of the new stuff....my brother inlaw and i saw bout 40 or so deer all over the place but none close enough to get a shot at....the only shot was my brother inlaw that just shaved some hair off the top of the deer above the shoulder at bout 60 yards....followed there trakes fer bout 100 yds with no blood but some hair at the shot site....but over all the day was perfect a little snow falling on and off all day and it not being cold it reached bout 37 degrees....o boy was it good to be out still hunting deer and taking in all of natures senses and feelings....as long as it stays cold below 45 - 50 i'll be going out when i can and hope to have some more jerkey going and smelling the process..................bob

You still have deer season going on in March in Pa.? Boy, we get a whole 12 days on the east side of the state and about 3-4 weeks on the west side. Must be nice.

yeah it's a deer damage tree farm that i hunt....i sent a self addressed letter to them asking fer the info on who has tags and they send me info on the northeast of PA on who has the tags....feb 1st to may 13th....then it opens again the end of july till the last day in sept before bow season opens....so i can almost hunt year round...................bob

Well it must be nice to be able to deer hunt all that time. Are all weapons legal(ie) bow, muzzleloader, centerfire rifle? Can you hunt with a ceterfire handgun in Pa.?

what ever is legal in hunting season....the bummer bout it all is a flintlock pistol is not legal during any muzzle loader season but i think ya can use one in reg season....i think....i'll have to ask around fer that one..............bob
