The trouble is
You only get to build that gun once
It will bring you years of fun but only a few months of the joy of building.😊
You fix that problem by building another, and another, and another. Lol.

This build was planned out and parts brought in from March until August while I was out with hip replacement surgery and building a 50 cal flint longrifle on my dining room table.

A multi national rifle!
German lock, English guard, French buttplate!
It, like the "Tennessee" pattern iron mounted longrifle with the South Carolina trigger guard and German lock that I just finished up, is my interpretation of what I would build were I an 18th century builder with my choice of parts. Some parts I fabricate to my own taste. I make no claim to be absolutely historically correct on anything i build. It suits my eye and that's what I build. I tend to lean towards plain, and functional. I do try to maintain traditional methods (hand tools) wherever practical.
