Deer season opens at day light tommorow and this will be my sons first Deer hunt. It is all he has talked about scince he passed his hunter safty test almost a year ago. He is determined to get one with his 50 cal Hawkins rifle even though at least for the next week we could use a High Power. I will be using my modern rifle (1892 Nagot 7.62x54 Pre Soviet model) Until Muzzle loader season at least. As soon as school gets out at 3:00 PM we will be on our way to set up deer camp. I will let you know how it comes out.

Savor these sweet moments.

I'm enjoying hunting with my 14 year old son. He gets so fired over deer hunting up that is keeps my flame burning. Alas, these moments pass too soon.

My oldest son is 24 and working on a PhD. in chemistry at Purdue. He doesn't get to come home and hunt with dad, and I miss it. Hopefully, school will be done for him some day and he can get back to the woods with dad and his younger brother.

You are one blessed man to have a son who likes to hunt.

Deer or no deer I will never forget the times at deer camp with MY DAD and I am a older man now.
Take a boy hunting and you will not have to hunt for your boy.

GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS.
