I've been enjoying the catalogs & manuals that I found a couple of days ago. I've found some pistols in the Pietta and the Pedersoli catalogs that I hope to find. They are the Colt Patterson, LeMat, and Roger & Spencer.
This is NOT a want to buy ad, just sharing my dreams.

stay away from those two brassers on the bottom. the top two paterson and le mat look pretty cool.
My dream is a pedersoli le page .44 with the browned barrel. can't afford it at the moment...

In the picture of the two brass framed revolvers, what is the top

This is the Roger & Spencer.
I would love to have any or all of the Confederate revolvers.

I have a brass framed 1860 Colt replica that I bought new in 1973. I shoot it using light loads, usually about 18g and it is not my only BP pistol so I hope it will last as long as I do.

I complt shot out a brass 1851 and a Spillier and burr. now my brass 1858 is looking like its stretched somehow... still shoots fine but dosent look fine...

The trouble is how V threads load stress, mostly on the first three threads which carry 70 percent of the load. This I believe is why brass frames loosen up either on arbor or barrel threads ( open top or solid frame guns).
Probably brass frames would hold up better if the threads were ramp cut which loads radially and distributes more of the load over a longer thread length. I think even square threads would hold up better than V threads do in brass seats (frame).

the 1858 has a visible imprint of the back of the cylinder in the frame. brass is just not the right material for revolver frames.
