Hello all,
Newbie here. I am trying to find out the manufacturer of my revolver. It was imported by Armsport in Miami, made in Italy, and has several "proof marks". I have found Armsport to no longer be in business, so I have little to go on.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mike

I bought a Brass frame 1860 Army Colt type Cap and ball from Gander Mountain back in 1987.........It was marked Armsport on the box.......Dont remember any marks at all on the gun........It had a Navy grip........Not the longer Army grip...........It had the best brass frame I've ever seen........the cylinder pin was still as tight as new when I gave the pistol to a friend 10 years ago...........fIt shot very well...............Bob

I'd try shooting it to see if you get lead cutting. Use a light charge, say maybe 20grs. with some corn meal filler. The forcing cone may just funnel the ball down with out any cutting at all. If you do get cutting then a good gunsmith would be your next course of action.
