For sale is this iron mounted Narragansett Arms Fusil de Chasse in 20 bore. The lock is an L&R that I had tuned by them after I purchased the Fusil through this forum classified section about 10 years ago. As I've not handled a Narragannsett "built" piece, I'm unsure if this is production assembled or built from a kit. The metal finish is entirely browned and has a not-full-polished appearance. There is a bit of texture to the metal surface that isn't from corrosion or rust but due to not being completely polished out to remove all casting lines, etc. The trigger guard is surface fitted and not inletted. There are some mionor fit gaps on the furniture as can be seen on some of the pics.
It's in great condition, sparks well and handles nicely. There is a little use wear to metal and wood, most noticeably on the butt plate where it has been rested on the ground. Stock is oil-finished American walnut. The original rod was replaced with a Delrin rod by the previous owner and I never got around to fitting a new wood one. The Delrin works just fine and in the dark brown finish doesn't look out of place.
I also thinned the wood around the barrel and contoured the forend tip to look closer to originals of the period. My price is 900.00 plus the shipping cost, depending on the carrier, insurance and type of transit desired. I can supply additional pics if desired.
Thanks for your consideration!

Fusil is back up for sale. A flurry of PMs took some time for back-and-forth. Just as a follow-up II want to add that I've put a couple of hundred patched and unpatched round ball through with no issues, but have never tried shot.
I'm reluctant to sell as it's such a sweet handling fowler, but too many in the heard now......I think you know of what I speak!
Any questions, please "fire away"!
