Works perfectly. Made of steel and heat blued. John told me he made the capper when he was learning to engrave. He has built and engraved many firearms. Mostly flintlock and percussion rifles. Yes, John can do many things. Here he is at 79 this summer, carving a CZ stock in my shop.
