I bought this as a kit back in the early 1980's. It has "Made in Italy" stamped on the underside of the barrel but other than that, I have no idea who actually made it. It's pretty rough. It looks like they tried to roll some sort of ship/ocean scene on the cylinder...they didn't do a real great job. It is .44 caliber. I gave it to my son years ago and he shot it maybe once or twice. He has since relinquished it's ownership back to me. I cleaned it up a little bit, it needs a real going over, but for now, this will have to do. It looks like it is set up for a shoulder stock. Anyway, it makes a nice replacement after I blew up my Remington 44 convertible revolver. Something to play with and try not to destroy.

Well, you think he could at least tell us about it as a safety concern. He doesn't have to post a picture of one like the one in the "First cap and ball Revolver " thread. Or, the one in "Pietta or Uberti 1858 New Model Army " complete with shells. Or, the 1875 Remingtons and SAA copys in the "Please talk me out of a 1861 Navy" thread.

Look at the little shoulder at the rear end of the round portion of the barrel, just above the loading lever pivot. Euroarms (Armi San Palo) is the only 1860 Army repro that ever had that.
Man, you have a sharp eye and detail knowledge to spot and know that! Kudos! Someone could clean that up really nice if he sells it!

Thanks for the information. I doubt I am going to sell it. I am in the process of cleaning it up. My son will eventually get it back, I hope he takes a little better care of it next time.
Wonder if it was a kit as I don't see a date code on the frame
Bingo. It was a kit I purchased about 40 years ago.

I am sorry about the slow replies. I had back surgery 3+ weeks ago and my recovery has been slow. I've been spending a lot of time in a recliner with cold packs and heating pads. My biggest problem has been the inability to sleep. Last but not least, my son also brought this little goodie when he brought me the 1860 Colt Army. This is a .44 cal. Richland Arms BP pistol. It was also a kit purchased about the same time as the Colt. It needs a lot of refurbishing.
