I picked up an early flintlock Hawken in very good condition except the sear is broke. Somebody was playing with the set trigger and snapped it. Any chance someone has a sear they would be willing to part with? Thanks!

I have been told and I believe our @bubba.50 has stated that Lyman tumblers can be tweaked so that they will work.

I have seen a number of broken TC tumblers and sears over the years, and many times it came from dry firing the set triggers from the half cock position. Used to be suggested by TC and there are still plenty of knuckleheads on YouTube suggesting to do it, even after being told it was a bad idea, just because TC recommended it at one time. I’ve lost a lot of respect for those types of people.

Well I broke down and bought one from evilbay. I talked with gun works for about a half hour about muzzleloaders and rolling blocks. Had a great conversation but they had no parts I am looking for. Thanks for the replies everyone.
