Need help identifying and locating a butt plate

I recently acquired an ERA cumberland fowler in a a trade. I like the piece well enough but would like to replace the current iron hardware with brass. I have found the correct replacements for the ramrod pipes as well as the trigger guard. I am having difficulty identifying the style, type and the retailer for the butt plate Larry is using. I half thought about asking him if one is available in brass but thought I would ask here first if anyone has any ideas. Thanks for any help. Here are pics of the iron butt plate on mine now. Look familiar to anyone? I wondered if it wasn't a reshaped french butt plate.

It's a reshaped something or other, I'm not sure what tho.

Sounds like its time for the Track of the Wolf catalog with their pages of full sized photos of parts. You should be able to find a replacement in there somewhere.

Fitting a new buttplate to a finished rifle is not a piece of consider starting to build your own long guns. They are not standardized to the point where you just remove one and pop in the other, like parts for a modern cartridge gun.

Thanks guys, I am not sure if I will go on and attempt it yet or not. I have done it with other cheaply obtained flinters with pretty good results. I am interested in eventually doing a kit gun, it is just deciding which one to do. Doing one from scratch is intimidating although I would definitely consider a kit in the white. Thanks for your help and opinions. Chris
