Bought this rifle from a guy at my club that had picked up several rifles from an estate sale. He was not interested in it. It is a 45 cal with an estimated twist of 1:48. The Muzzle measures 7/8” across the flats. No Markings on the barrel but I do not wish to pull it because I am no comfortable unpinning a barrel.over all length is 50”. Barrel to front of breech plug is 33 3/8” Length of pull to single trigger is 13 1/4”. Total weight unloaded is 6.8 lbs. The only marking that I can find is on inside of the lock where it says SPAIN. Curious how close the rear sight is to the lock

It looks to me like one of the earlier andresia(spelling ?) made rifles that were brought over from spain in the early seventies that were resold by many different sellers (sears , and various others). They were basicly the same as the earlier CVA,s. They had a shallow grooved 1/48 rifling.Your sear and tumbler contact probably needs stoning to a ninety degree angle , less than ninety you have to fight the main spring. greater than ninety it will not hold. A simple test is to slowly pull the trigger while observing the hammer. If the hammer starts to move back before releasing you are fighting the main spring. While they were a low cost rifle they were often good shooters and accounted for many deer in our area.

The breech and lock remind me of offerings by Hopkins and Allen,, but a search of internet photos shows differences in the stock.
There where several other,, "once-n-done" importers.
That breech was used in the early 70's and soon became problematic in the rifles that had them, IIRC, they leaked after a short time with the heavy charges used in rifle. They still used them with the lighter loads in pistol.

My money is on an late ‘60’s to early ‘70’s Jukar/ CVA. Same side plate, lock and stock. The breech is the same as those on two of my prehistoric pieces.

Come to think of it, my money was on those early pieces.

jukar for sure. The nipple from a jukar was still embedded in the roof of the range when it was torn down so many decades ago. Some may remember the hole was circled in red.

One thing to bear in mind is that many American RETAILERS purchased items from makers in Belgium, Spain and Italy -- and later from India (Delhi Gun House) and Japan.
There really is no point referring to (for example) "CVA" as there might have been 4 or 5 companies offerring the same bundhook, but with their company name on it.

"Jukar" may well be a possibility -- - as "ARDESA" tended to be more recent.

There are some fine specialist makers in Spain, as well as those who churn out guns made down to a price.

I believe it's a Miroku Ultra High, Kentucky rifle.
Winner winner chicken dinner!

It's definitely an Ultra-High lock and stock... the wide brass stock spacer is the giveaway just as is the side plate.
The odd part is the lack of a faux patchbox, normally found.
BUT Miroku, like their Italian competitors would allow importing retailers to special order modifications, and perhaps this version was sans the faux patch box ?

Loyalist Dave beat me to identifing it as an Ultra Hi while I was looking for a screen shot of one and I missed deermanok’s post.

Check out Guns America item #925549789. The item is sold, so I believe I can provide a link. ULTRA HI MIROKU .45CAL PERCUSSION PLAINS RIFLE for sale. Here is a screen shot with some photographs.
