Need help with a CVA Mtn. Stalker

I recently acquired a CVA Mtn Stalker from a yard sale and it is missing the ram rod. A few questions I have is, do I measure the inside of the ramrod tube to see what size rod I need to get to make a new one. Also how do I determine the length I make it. I do want to get separate components and make my own. I've been looking online at rod blanks and which ones should I stay away from. I know I am looking for straight grained rods with little to no run out but which places have the best chance of getting good rods from. Thank you for the help in advance. Brian

Track of the Wolf has everything you need. I usually fit the breech end tip and cross pin it then slide it down the barrel. Mark it flush or a tiny bit longer than muzzle. Fit the front tip and pin it. Rub some boiled linseed oil into the rod, burnish it with a piece of denim, make some smoke. Welcome to the forum.

Deercreek Products has a lot of old stock CVA parts. They will have a ramrod for that rifle.
I currently have 2 mountain stalker rifles. They both shoot the Hornady 240 grain PA conicals very good.

I just checked deercreek, they have a ramrod for the cva bobcat which is basically the same gun. It's 25 1/2 inches.
