Folks,I need a little help with this one. I have a cute little percussion smoothbore looks like a .395 to .410 bore, has a strong lock and will pop a cap great. It says on the barrel "Firearms Int'l Corp, and on the lock, Made in Brazil. The gun is in good enough shape to shoot and I would love to do that. Any help would be great, wish I had a picture, it kind of looks like a Springfield musket.

Thanks,

Casey

Finally got a good measurement, the bore is a tight .385, 36 caliber, but I believe it would make a good little shotgun.

I've seen 2 of these guns up for auction. I bought an unfired one with the same ID and it has a mechanical problem with the trigger/lock which I have been informed isn't going to be easy to repair. One ad stated that this model was a jungle "parrot" gun used for hunting them at close ranges. When I measured the bore it appeared to be just as you described with a slightly "open" or flared choke, approximately .410 (it's at the gunsmith). I'm very interested in knowing how your's shoots before I go any further trying to fix mine.
