hopefully this is the right place. i just bought an older Thompson Center Flintlock hawken kit. made in the 80's never built.. but anyways im working on it and realized the barrel rib was missing. if the seller isnt able to find it do you guys have any recommendations on where i could find another? all my searches come up with outdated ebay auctions and not much else.

im still new to this muzzleloader scene so i dont know of where to search for this sort of stuff. also didnt see any on TOTW that were right size

If your seller source don't work out put an add here in the classifieds under firearms parts wanted.
There's probably a bunch of guy's here besides myself that have one.

Keep an eye on ebay, there's always new stuff coming up. Folks will "part out" a rusty bore barrel,,

Give the Log Cabin Shop a call.

logcabinshop

They advertise "Machined steel ribs attach to the bottom flat of the barrel of a Hawken, Plains, Ohio or other half stock style rifle."

+1 for the Log Cabin Shop, they carry T/C parts but sometimes you have to call them if you don't find what you're looking for on their website. Good Luck, Steve

Send me a PM. I'm pretty sure I have one kicking around & would give it to you for the cost of shipping. - Yes, it is here, offer is good.

I made an underrib from 3/8" square steel from the hardware store using a drill, hacksaw and files. It isn't rocket science...

The barrel rib on my (2) Thompson Center Hawkens rifles measures 1/4" X 1/4" X 15".

A piece of cold rolled steel that size should be pretty easy to find at a good hardware store or metal scrap yard.
