I`m in the market for a double or single barrel shotgun. In the price range of around $300.00 or maybe a used one. Who makes one that`s gonna be worth a dang. I`m new to the blackpowder shotgun but am not new to the blackpowder sport. I just wanted a good gun that will last in the field for birds, waterfowl and maybe some small game hunting.
Thanks to all,
Burch :hmm:

In that price range about all you will find are used ones. There might be a chance of finding a double barrel in that range, but the chance would be better for a single barrel like the T/C New Englander or Black Mt Magnum, or the CVA Trapper. Check some of the black powder gun auction sights.

I'm afraid rebel is right 300 dollars won't get you very far unless you find one of those modern type single shot that we don't talk about here on this site . Although I was lucky to find a pedersoli sxs 12 gage for 250 that wasn't even used so it does happen , you just have to look really hard they'er out there . In fact a pedersoli sxs is exactly what I would recomend you look for they are great little guns that are a lot of fun to shoot .

I have a Pedersoli 12 ga. and I like it. I bought it used for considerably less than what Dixie or anyone else asks for them new. It was still m ore than $300.00. As has been suggested keep checking the used market on line, local pawn shops and muzzleloading sites that have for sale forums.
