Thanks to you guys I found a Smoothbore flintlock last week. I have been looking for one for immediately delivery for 2 months. Now I need a good bag, horn and some other accessories. I want them to be well made and not look commercial. What type of bag and horn would complement a Tulle fusil de chasse, and do you have any recommendations on where I can find them. I dont mind spending a little money for some good stuff. thanks

John and Linda will answer any question you have and will offer a GREAT product for the price!! Call or e-mail from the link.

Their Bags and horns are all a top quality product! And they have stuff to cater to all incomes

This is a bag that I got from a buddy of mine, Speedy Hogarth. His bags are top quality and will last you a lifetime. I think this set up cost me $250

As far as horns go, I got this one from Ron Vail.

He does great work and his prices are reasonable. I think I paid $125 for this one. They are not fancy but in the style of what a "normal" person would have had in that time period. I call this on my Francis Marion horn. He was know as the "Fighting Gamecock" So I had Ron put a couple rooster on it with a quote from Marion, "Self government will only work with self discipline".

Hope this helps

Hi Pharmvet, I also have a Fucil de Chasse, one of my favorite guns. I like to have a set of accessories for each of my guns and a lot of the fun is in making them myself. I bet you could do the same. On my bag I put a French Cross of Lorraine, also scrimed it on the priming horn, made a horn and scrimed a lot of stuff on it, The powder measure says Fucil and 75 for the grains it measures.
There's a patch knife that fits in a sheath on front of pouch under the flap and a hunting knife that goes on the strap. They may or may not be PC but they are to me. I also make shot loads that contain the wads and shot so I can load them quickly. You gonna have a lot of fun with it.

Conner Prairie at Fishers, Indiana (20 miles from Indianpolis). You can learn how to make your own horn and then a bag to go with it.

Speedy makes a fine bag. If you want a good shooters bag, ask for the deluxe shooters bag. Mine works just great. He will talk you through what you will get. He lives in Edgewater, MD. (No Website) Mike Small makes powder horns that will complement the Speedy bag. Mike lives in Hedgesville, WV and right now he is at the Eastern.
Hope this helps.

check out Wayne Zurl's site--he has a nice bag for $100 and a selection of nice horns for under $100.....
