I am trying to find the maker and some history on a Double barrel slaphammer percussion rifle. Name HB Howe on top flat. Loseys and Lull on side. About 40 caliber. Can anyone help?
 
Thank You Squire Robin for the information. I was wondering where you got your information, I only live about an hour and a half from Lansing. I am thinking that Henry Howe and HB Howe may be one in the same.

Almost forgot. Of course Heer has a source. Regarding Howe from Lansing, Heer has found info in the book "American Gun Makers", by Gluckman & Satterlee, printed in US 1953. If you are lucky more info can be found in this book. Try to get it form your local library! Or buy the book for $22,50-25,00 at www.ilab-lila.com. Good luck!!
