I made this one on commission. It is supposed to be in the style of a knife that might have been carried on the frontier in the early 19th century.
The scrimshaw depicts the "old home place" of the family of the customer. All the shiny bits are German silver. The sheath is leather over barn wood from the customer's farm.
The blade is layers of 1095 and 1080 steel. Not really Damascus, but you can see the pattern if you look closely.
The handle is Elforyn Super Tusk, which seems to work just like whale ivory. I am not big on synthetic materials in general, but Ivory is scarce these days.
