New England style hunting bags?

Particularly southern New England. Leather Bags that were used here in Mass, Conn, R.I around 1800. I'm not sure there would be much of a difference from bags of other regions. But does anyone have pictures of any known N.E bags?

New gun needs a new bag. I'm thinkin that most big game were shot out here at that time and deer would have been scarce so most likely cow or pig leather would have been used here for a leather bag. :hmm:

I think you can do anything you want if you cant find a documented item (hard to do with a pouch).
I would agree on cow or pig and would go veg. tanned. Certainly a cloth design could be used as well.
I would stay basic and avoid things like the double bag, heart cut-outs or other design features that could possibly place the pouch in a certain area other than your own.
Deciding if you want the bag to represent one made by a professional harness maker or by the untrained end user will direct your design as well.
