Hello,
I'm just getting started with muzzleloading, but have been around firearms for a while now. So far, I've been looking at the Kibler kits but haven't made a decision yet.

Thanks in advance for the knowledge this site and its members provide.

Here's an advance notice. Be aware of scammers and spammers. Learn how to spot them and what to do about them. They make unbelievable offers. That's one clue. Welcome from a man in GR. Thanks, Steve

Welcome from West Michigan, Kibler Longrifles are a great start considering percussion caps seem to be really hard to come by. I have 2 Kiblers, the Southern Mountain in 40 cal and the Woodsrunner in 54. The Woodsrunner by far is the easiest to put together and you end up with a beautiful extremely accurate flintlock rifle. BTW the Living History Show is happening this weekend at the Kalamazoo Expo Center. I would recommend going for sure.

Welcome from Central Michigan, Mecosta county. Strong second for going to the K-zoo show. Be warned, you will never be the same after K-zoo. 🤠

Steve, thank you for the welcome and the advice. I'll keep my guard up.

Togo, thanks for the info regarding the Kiblers. I think I'm pretty close to ordering the Woodsrunner. I'm in Oakland County but I've been known to make longer drives for less. Sounds like a good time.

I just read over the website for the K-zoo show. It looks fantastic. We'll see if I can make it as it's about 3 hours from my location in Oakland County. Either way, I appreciate the recommendation.
