My brother has used it. He used it along with Pyrodex and the pinnacle is dirtier.
Hes still working with his sights on a new gun but he likes the pyrodex better.

I bought some in 2F it burns VERY CLEAN but it is so chunky it wont feed through my powder flask. I have used it only twice and now it rides along in my truck's tool box in case I may need it sometime.

It did shoot well and very clean just a fine powder residue but I could not meter a shot with it easy so I gave up on it.

Goex Pinnacle is made by American Pioneer but it's not the same formula as American Pioneer Powder. I've used the 3f and it looks very similar to Goex 2f. It's the cleanest burning of the substitutes I've tried.

I read that clear shot was to inconsistant from lot to lot, so they improved it and changed the name so it would get a fair shake.

Do they still make the clear shot?
I have not seen any Clearshot, in any gun shops, or at any gunshows for at least three years. It is also not listed on the Goex Website. This leads me to believe it is out of production. Do not confuse Clearshot, with Cleanshot, which is now American Pioneer Powder. Clearshot was made by Goex. Cleanshot/ American Pioneer Powder, is made by a company in Colorado, A.P.P. Inc.

I still have over 2.5 cans of fffg Goex ClearShot and I wish that I never bought it. I experience hang fire problems with it even when mixed with other powders. What a disappointment, and it did negatively affect my opinion about Goex.
I've had more positive experiences with Clean Shot and might even consider buying more if the gun shop still had any sitting on the shelf.
